Peter had been wandering around- something he’d found himself doing more and more of lately- when he saw a familiar figure in the distance. “Babette!” he waved to her, jogging over, “Hello! It’s been far too long!”

Babette turned around as she heard a voice not too far off. “Bonjour Monsieur Peter!” she greeted him with a small curtsy. “It has been too long. So what has happened in the long time since I’ve seen you?”

“Much has happened.” He gave her a brief summary of the events of the past few months, subtly adding emphasis to the fact that he and Aurora were no longer together. “And how are you doing? If your beauty and mind were one, it would be easy to tell you were doing marvellously.”

She took in this information. “Oh, how interesting. That was a rather short marriage  though. I am well, busy as always, but well.” she giggled. “Merci.”
